Choosing yourself makes it easier for people to love you. Why? When you show up authentically, you have to stopped hiding. When you stop hiding your people can find you and love you. Period. Ain't that something. It's quite the uno reverse.

We don't live in a culture that teaches Black girls how to choose themselves, we live in a culture that teaches us how to be codependent, at best. We live in a culture that teaches us that being like by other people is more important than liking ourselves. I am here to tell you that you can choose yourself, flourish and thrive. You can choose yourself AND love other people. You can choose yourself AND other people can love you. It do take work. I won't lie about that. It takes is work and being intentional.

Life is so very short. There are people who will love you just for who you are but you have to be yourself in order for your people to find you. If you hiding, we can't find you.
